Man Charged in Connection with Attacks on Women in Winnipeg

Winnipeg police report that a man has been charged related to three random attacks on women walking to work through the Winnipeg Skywalk system last week.

Details of the Attacks

The Winnipeg Police Service states the alleged attacks occurred on Thursday between 6:30 a.m. and 6:45 a.m.

Suspect Identification and Charges

Authorities identified a suspect around 7:30 a.m. in the Skywalk near St. Mary Avenue.

Randy Herman, 40, was charged with robbery, assault, assault with a weapon, and uttering threats. He is currently detained in custody.

The allegations have not been tested in court.
