Lynx and Kittens Spotted at Lake Louise

Skiers and snowboarders at Lake Louise had an unexpected wildlife encounter this weekend. A lynx was seen calmly roaming the slopes with her two kittens.

One visitor, @carlymarkss, shared the moment on TikTok. They kept a respectful distance while capturing the lynx stepping out of the trees onto the ski run. The two playful kittens followed closely behind. The video was captioned, “Lake Louise casually reminding you who owns the mountain.”

The video quickly gained attention. As of now, it has over 19,000 likes and 200,000 views. Many viewers were amazed by the glimpse of the elusive cats in their natural habitat.

This is not the first time lynx have been spotted in Lake Louise recently. A few weeks ago, a Reddit user reported a similar experience after encountering a lynx and a kitten while skiing.

Another comment noted, “This is literally the coolest thing ever. People work their whole careers in park service and don’t get a sighting this close.” Someone else replied, “This is an extremely special sight. Awesome.”
