One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a collision involving a bus and a car on the Sea to Sky Highway. This incident occurred between Squamish, B.C., and Whistler on Wednesday.

Investigation and Response

The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Services (ICARS) was called to investigate the scene. ICARS handles the forensic reconstruction of collisions that lead to serious injury or death between Pemberton and Boston Bar.

BCEHS information officer Brian Twaites reported that three ambulances, an advanced care paramedic response unit, and a paramedic supervisor responded to the incident. “Paramedics provided emergency medical care and transported one patient to meet another ground ambulance with critical care paramedics who then took over care and transported the patient to the hospital in critical condition,” Twaites stated.
